Percentage to CGPA (HEC table)
HEC publishes an official equivalence of percentage and grade points in its Final Examination Policy Guidelines: one table for the semester system and one for the old annual system. HEC gives ranges, not one exact CGPA, so this tool shows the range for your percentage. It does not invent a formula.
Your university’s transcript and its own grading scale come first; HEC says the annual-system ranges “may be split further”. For Germany, uni-assist and universities usually convert your grade with the Bavarian formula from your own scale, not from this table.
CGPA to minimum percentage (HEC rule)
HEC: a CGPA is given the minimum percentage of its row, e.g. CGPA 3.00 = 71%.
