Frequently asked questions

Short answers about how StudyGate works, what the results mean and how we handle your data. StudyGate is information only, not advice.

About StudyGate

What is StudyGate?

StudyGate is a free information site that tells students from Pakistan whether they can apply to a programme abroad, with costs and deadlines. Pakistan is the first launch group. It is information only, not advice.

Is StudyGate really free?

Yes. The site describes itself as free for Pakistani students, and it asks for no account, name, email or phone number to use it. Paid plans are not offered; if they are ever added, the privacy policy will be updated first.

Where does the data come from?

Every fact is copied from an official source: a government, recognition body, university or official national portal. Each fact shows the exact quote, the source link and the date we checked it. Aggregators, blogs and agents are never used as sources.

Which countries are covered?

Pakistan plus 30+ destinations, for Bachelor's and Master's. See the countries hub for the current list. A country is shown only when its data is ready.

Does StudyGate cover Bachelor's and Master's programmes?

Yes. StudyGate covers Bachelor's and Master's programmes in Pakistan and in every destination on the countries hub.

Results and what they mean

What does "Meets" mean?

Every country, grade and programme rule passes. For competitive programmes the result adds "meets the minimum; admission is competitive", plus the last cut-off if one is published.

What does "Eligible with conditions" (or "With conditions") mean?

You pass if you meet the listed conditions. Conditions can be foundation, Studienkolleg or bridging routes (all official routes are shown), recognition steps, rules where no official national ruling was found, or a missing detail from you, such as "needs IELTS 6.5".

What does "Does not meet" mean?

A rule fails, and the result shows the reason and the official quote. We use it only where an official source says so.

What does "Cannot confirm" mean?

Our own data is missing for a rule, and the result shows what is missing. It is never used when the missing piece is something you have not entered.

Can I apply with a low CGPA?

Maybe. Your grade is converted with the official method of the destination country, and the converted grade and formula are shown. A programme may publish its own pass value, which overrides the default. Admission can also be competitive even when you meet the minimum. Run the eligibility check with your own CGPA to see the result for each programme.

Do I need IELTS?

It depends on the programme and country. Where English is required, the entry rule records the accepted test, medium of instruction or exemption, each quoted. If a result says "needs IELTS 6.5", enter your test details to update it. For Pakistan as a destination, English counts only where the official page sets a requirement.

Costs, deadlines and freshness

How fresh are fees and deadlines?

Each fact shows the date we checked it, and facts can change without notice. A deadline counts as fresh if it is for the next intake. It also counts if it is the latest official cycle and the page shows the next cycle is not announced yet. In that case we show "Last year: <date>; next dates not announced yet". After a country is locked, one seventh of its records are re-checked each day, and every change appears in the public change log.

What kinds of deadline do you show?

We show the programme's own deadline, an official route deadline (such as UCAS or uni-assist rounds), an official "rolling admission" statement, or an official "recommended apply-by" date. We also show month-only deadlines in the official wording, such as "Apply by late July (official)", and official conditional deadlines with both dates. A day is never invented, and intake or start months are never shown as deadlines.

How are costs shown?

Each programme shows a quoted tuition amount. For tuition-free programmes it shows the quoted registration or semester fee, or "Tuition-free (official)" where the official page says no fee exists. Calculators convert amounts with daily rates (ECB official, with any fallback labelled) and show their inputs and sources.

What does "fully verified" mean?

A fully verified programme has an entry rule, an English requirement where the country requires one, a fee fact and a deadline fact, all with exact official quotes. Partly verified programmes are shown with "check with the university" on the missing facts. Programmes with names only are hidden from students.

Using the service

Do you apply for me? Are you an agent?

No. StudyGate takes no commissions, has no agents and sells no data. It is not affiliated with any university, embassy, government, DAAD, uni-assist, HEC or scholarship provider. The university or authority makes the final decision.

Does StudyGate guarantee admission, a visa or a scholarship?

No. Eligibility checks and calculators give an indication from what you enter and the rules we recorded. They are not decisions. Confirm every detail on the official page before you apply, pay a fee, book a test or submit a visa application.

How do I report a wrong fact?

Email reports@studygatehq.com with the page and the official link. We review reports and fix confirmed errors.

Privacy

What data do you store about me?

Nothing on our side by default. Your profile, shortlist, plan, notes and settings stay in your own browser and are not uploaded; you can download or delete them from the "Your data" menu. We set no cookies and show no ads. Hosting runs on Cloudflare Pages, and visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.

What happens if I email you or use the optional search setting?

If you tick "Help improve search", we receive only the words you searched and the number of results, with no profile, ID or IP address stored. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and fix the issue, and we delete them after 12 months. The site is not aimed at children under 13.

Facts are quoted from the official pages linked on this page, with the date we checked them. Universities make the final decision. StudyGate, free for Pakistani students.
