Blocked account providers: the official position
StudyGate lists only providers that the Federal Foreign Office or the German Embassy Islamabad officially name. Today neither names any. The Foreign Office deleted its provider list in 2022 and says it makes no recommendations. So this page lists no providers, fees or rankings, and has no affiliate links.

- Federal Foreign Office: “The list of providers offering blocked accounts available up until the middle of 2022 has now been deleted.”
- No recommendation: the Foreign Office “does not make any recommendations and does not accept any liability for failed payment on the part of providers.”
- German Embassy Islamabad: its blocked-account page names no provider and links to the Foreign Office page.
What to check with any provider you choose
- The amount: €992 a month (€11,904 a year) for visa applications from 1 January 2025 — use the blocked account calculator.
- That the confirmation meets the embassy’s visa checklist on the Consular Services Portal.
- Fees and conditions on the provider’s own official price page, with the date you read it.
- If a signature must be attested at the embassy, that needs its own consular appointment.
