Frequently asked questions

How is a Pakistani CGPA converted to a German grade?

With the modified Bavarian formula: German grade = 1 + 3 × (best − yours) ÷ (best − minimum pass), where the minimum is the minimum passing grade at your university (Hochschule Düsseldorf handout).

Which minimum CGPA should I use?

uni-assist asks for the minimum CGPA or percentage required for a bachelor degree to be awarded at your university. HEC's guidelines give 2.00 for BS students.

Does every Pakistani university use 2.00?

Not always. The minimum required to graduate may differ by university and programme; the table lists the minimum stated in each university's own document. Use the figure in your own degree regulations.
