Last checked 2026-10-22 · Source: HEC, IBCC, uni-assist, German Embassy Islamabad (per step below)
A general checklist of the steps a Pakistani student follows to apply for a German Master’s and a student visa; your university and visa route decide which documents apply to you. Each fee and time shown is copied from an official page, with the exact quote and the date it was checked. Where an official page gives no figure, we say “Not stated officially”. Your ticks stay on this device only.
Common reasons Pakistani applications are rejected
From official uni-assist, German Embassy and university pages. Some come from one university's rules, so check your own programme too. Hover over or tap "Official quote" to read the exact words.
Fees and procedures change. Always confirm on the official page before you pay. Old embassy checklists (for example the Karachi checklist and the October 2023 Islamabad leaflet) show older blocked account amounts; the current amount is on the embassy’s “How to finance your stay” page.
